Terms of use

You must be 18, or the age of majority where you live, to accept these terms. If you are under 13, do not send us your name, email, photo, or any other personal information. Read with a parent or caregiver.

The stories are written for ages 2–7. You decide whether a book is right for your child. Sitting together to turn the pages is the intended use.

Puddlebend shows finished picture books and the animal friends in them. You may browse and read here for personal, non-commercial use.

We do not currently sell books, take payment, ship print orders, or offer accounts from this site. If that changes, these terms will change first.

The text and pictures are produced by our generation pipeline and judged before they appear here. They are not hand-illustrated by a named artist, and we do not claim they are.

Your visit is not sent into that pipeline. We do not use information about you or your child to generate or train stories.

This is a website, not a toy that listens, chats, or follows a child around. There is no community, no comments, no in-story chat, and no in-app purchase.

You are responsible for how a child in your care uses the device. The reader does not replace you.

The books, characters, names, pictures, and the Puddlebend name belong to us or to people who licensed them to us. You may read them here. You may not:

• copy the books or images to sell, publish, or give away as your own
• use the characters or world in merchandise, another book, or an advertisement
• scrape the site or the images to train an AI system
• remove credits or pretend the work is yours

A short personal quote or a link to a book page is fine.

• try to break, overload, or probe the site
• use automated tools to harvest the catalog beyond ordinary search-engine indexing
• upload or send us a child's personal information. There is no upload, and you should not put that in email
• use the site for anything illegal

The site and the books are provided as they are. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free pages, or that a story will teach a particular lesson. Nothing here is medical, educational, or developmental advice.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Puddlebend is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the site.

If a court will not allow that limit, our total liability for a claim about this site is the greater of ten U.S. dollars or the amount you paid us for the site in the twelve months before the claim. Today that amount is zero.

Some places do not allow certain limits. Those limits do not apply to you if your law forbids them.

We may change these terms. The date at the top of the page will change. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new terms. If we add accounts or paid orders, we will say so plainly.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute cannot be worked out by email, the courts of the United States will have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
