Who we are
Puddlebend publishes picture books set in Puddlebend. This site is a catalog and a page-turn reader. There are no accounts, no checkout, and no place to upload a photo.
Questions about this page: privacy@puddlebend.com.
Children
A child may sit with you and read a book. We do not ask the child for anything. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
We do not collect, and we have no form that asks for:
- a child's name, email, home address, or phone number
- a photo, video, or voice recording of a child
- a face scan, face embedding, or any biometric identifier
- a birthday or a child's exact age
- school, precise location, or an advertising ID used to profile a child
- messages, drawings, or anything a child could type or upload. There is nowhere to type or upload
If a child under 13 sends us personal information anyway, for example an email, we delete it when we notice, and we do not use it.
We will not add a child's photo, a child's name as an account, comments, chat, or any other feature that collects personal information from a child unless we first change this page, tell you, and obtain any consent the law requires. A photo-likeness book is a possible later product. It is not offered here.
What this site collects
We do not run accounts, newsletters, comments, payments, or analytics on this site. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. We do not drop a consent banner because there is nothing here that would need one.
To deliver a page, the computers that host the site necessarily see the request: the page address, an IP address, a user-agent string, and the time. We use that only to serve the site, keep it up, and stop abuse. We do not use it to recognize a child, build a profile, or show ads.
If you email us, we see whatever you put in the message: your address, and anything you write. That stays in email so we can reply. Do not send a child's photo or a child's identifying details unless we have asked for them under an updated policy.
Persistent identifiers
An IP address and similar request metadata are treated as personal information under the U.S. children's privacy rule (COPPA) when they can recognize a device over time. We collect them only as needed to run the site: deliver pages, diagnose failures, and protect the service. We do not use them to contact anyone, to serve behavioral ads, or to amass a profile.
We do not run third-party advertising, retargeting, or measurement pixels.
Who else can see a request
We do not sell information. We do not share it for advertising. The companies that host and route the site see a request because that is how a website reaches you:
- Vercel: website hosting and delivery
- Cloudflare: domain DNS
They act as service providers. We do not send visitor data to an AI model. The books on this site were generated in our pipeline before they were published. Your visit is not an input to that pipeline.
How long we keep it
We do not keep a customer database. There is no account to delete.
Host access logs exist so the site can run. We do not keep them longer than the host needs for security and reliability, and we do not keep them indefinitely as a marketing file. Email you send us is kept as long as the conversation requires, then removed from our active inbox when it is no longer needed.
Backups of the published catalog (the books and characters) are our content, not your personal information.
What a parent can ask
You can email privacy@puddlebend.com to:
- ask whether we hold any personal information about you or your child
- ask for a copy of anything we do hold
- ask us to delete it
- tell us to stop any further collection (today there is none beyond serving the page and any email you send)
We will need enough from you to find the record, usually just the email you used. We will not ask a child to verify a request.
California and other U.S. state rights
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is no “Do Not Sell or Share” switch because those activities are not on.
If a state privacy law gives you a right to know, delete, or correct, use the same email. We will not discriminate against you for asking.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. We do not store payment cards or child profiles because we do not collect them. No method of transmission is perfect. If we learn of a breach that affects personal information we hold, we will notify the people the law requires us to notify.
When this page changes
If we start collecting more (accounts, orders, a child's name in a book, a photo) we will update this page first and change the effective date. Material changes that affect children will not hide in a footnote.
